« Dutch Agriculture Minister: a higher, fair meat price to be taken serious»

12 June, the Dutch Agriculture Minister Carola Schouten asked political parties to be serious about a higher, fair meat price (a new tax with revenues to be used for farmers and to make vegetables/fruits cheaper). 

This was her answer, when receiving a petition, signed by 50.000 people in only a few weeks, calling for 'a higher, fair price of meat, including enviroenmental and health costs of meat'. The petition was organized by the True Animal Protein Price Coalition (TAPP Coalition), supported by its business and NGO partners and by Avaaz, the largest petition network.
